Objectives Students master the fundamentals of econometrics and of the statistical package Stata. They are familiar with the most important concepts of descriptive statistics and multiple regression analyses and can apply them on real data. They are able to independently conduct simple empirical analyses using business and economic data and to correctly interpret the results and statistical significance. They know the strengths and limitations of multiple regression analyses and can also interpret estimation coefficients depending on different functional forms. They understand empirical economic papers and can also evaluate their quality.
