Objectives
The students know recent developments in the area of database systems, particularly of Data & Web Engineering. They learn the functionality of systems that are based on applications of symbolic and subsymbolic methods of Artificial Intelligence They are able to develop and implement database systems and systems based on artificial intelligence by interdisciplinary teamwork. Furthermore, the students are able to recognize trends in Data & Knowledge Engineering in order to adapt their working process to new scientific findings.
