Objectives The revolution in computing and communication technologies in the last decades has led to numerous changes in our society. In this course, we describe how information technologies impacts everyday life. Also, we describe the global influence of these changes on society altogether. Social and ethical problems on individual, organizational and societal level are discussed in-depth.
Subject Ethical and moral approaches of the digital society and challenges evolving from it, Sustainability concepts, IT-induced changes such as e-shopping, travelling, health, media addiction, crime, communication, interpersonal relationships, surveillance, e-government, Job market, telework, mobile office, job offshoring, e-learning.
Criteria for evaluation Oral presentation and short paper on a topic to be chosen by the candidate.
