Students learn to independently apply core theories and research methods in the fields of international, monetary and macroeconomics to the solution of practical research questions. They draw conclusions about and derive recommendations regarding the effectiveness of actual or candidate economic policy measures.
The subject builds on the subjects and courses from the Economic Policy Field International, Monetary and Macroeconomics in the first years of the Master’s degree program in Economics. The theoretical and empirical knowledge and capabilities thus attained are deepened by applying them to policy-relevant questions.
