Objectives The seminar aims to provide students with the basic theoretical foundations concerning computer-mediated communication (CMC). The seminar offers an in-depth exploration of selected and current topics in the field of CMC.
  • Concepts, theories and models in the field of communication and CMC in particular (e.g. persuasion)
  • Current research in the field of CMC
  • practical implications (e.g. for health services, education), risks and opportunities of CMC
Criteria for evaluation course attendance, completion of written and oral assignments
Methods lectures, independent reading, interactive elements (e.g. discussions, practical exercises, presentations)
