Objectives Students expand their strategic competencies (thinking strategically and acting strategically) and understand fundamental strategic interdependencies and interrelations. Students will be able to examine strategic issues from different perspectives and thereby consider the human factor adequately. Students develop an understanding of the complexity of strategic problems and are introduced to selected tools and methods.

  • Current challenges and strategic opportunities of companies between industrial and information age
  • Analyzing the strategic position (strategy tools and methods)
  • Generating strategic options at different levels of organization
  • Basics regarding strategy implementation and strategic evaluation
Criteria for evaluation Written exam and seminar paper
Methods Theoretical inputs, self-study as well as small group work, case studies, videos, reflection exercises and periods of critical discussion will be used to achieve the teaching and learning objectives.
