| Objectives |
The course in
Advanced Studies in Sociology of Politics specialises in a specific topic. For the topic in question the focus will be put on the political constitution of social relations. An emphasis will be put on contemporary problems of societies or current social developments. Students will acquire in-depth knowledge about connections between social and political relations, their structures and dynamics, institutions and actors. A focus will be put on the contested character of societies and social developments. They will learn to apply different theories and concepts to the contested dynamics of modern societies and to develop empirical questions.
