Detailed information
Original study plan Master's programme Nanoscience and Technology 2013W
Objectives The course provides an overview of the main processes of bottom-up [from single atoms/molecules to nanoobjects] organization and structuring currently employed for the fabrication of functional nanostructures.
Subject The course covers the most important bottom-up methods for the fabrication of nanostructures. The different techniques are considered both in their conventional and cutting-edge aspects. Examples of advanced bottom-up nanofabrication are taken from the most recent literature with special attention to the prospective applications of semiconductor-, metal-, magnetic-, and organic-nanostructures in to-date and future technology. Topics: epitaxy, ion implantation, annealing, self-assembling,...
Criteria for evaluation Oral Exam, dates by arrangement.
