Objectives |
Teaching basic skills about computers and their programming through an abstraction via algorithms and datastructures in the context of physics.

Subject |
Basic knowledge of computer architectures; key elements of structured programming, e.g. control flow constructs of selection and repetition, as well as functions and subroutines; elementary datatypes and derived data structures, e.g. arrays, lists, and trees. Algorithms for basic numerics, sorting of data, as well as the search and manipulation of lists and trees.

Positive evaluation of the solution and presentation of programming exercises; written exam.
