Detailed information
Original study plan Bachelor's programme Technical Physics 2022W
Objectives Get in touch with elementary concepts, terms, definitions and assumptions of quantum mechanics, understanding the mathematical and logical construction of this theory and how it is applied to specific physical systems.
Subject Basic assumptions, Schrödinger equation for one particle, use of symmetry, approximate methods, identical particles and exchange interaction, the principle of chemical bond.
Criteria for evaluation (1) Number of successfully solved problems, (2) quality of presentations/commitment during the excercise course, (3) eventually additional excercise exams.
Methods Independent solution of problems (alone or in small groups), presentation of solutions during the excercise course.
Language German
Study material will be specified during the lecture/excercise course.
