Subject 
Freeform curves and surfaces in Computer Aided Design are usually represented by spline curves and surfaces. The course provides an introduction to the mathematical background and discusses several applications. The following topics are covered: Bézier curves and surfaces, Bspline curves and surfaces, Blossoming, rational representations (NURBS), algorithms for interpolation and approximation
