(*)Numerical simulations are often based on models described by partial differential equations. The courses deal with essential techniques for the numerical treatment of such models and their numerical analysis.

(*)The course Numerical Methods for Elliptic Equations deals with boundary value problems of multi-dimensional elliptic partial differential equations and their discretization.
The course Numerical Methods in Continuum Mechanics deals with numercial methods for discretizing and solving typical problems from solid and fluid mechanics.
