Detailed information
Original study plan Master's programme Mechatronics 2022W
Objectives Students know and understand the motivation, goals, principles and strategies of industrial process measurement technology and can apply them to in-depth problems and generalize the results obtained. They are able to:

  • Analyse and assess measurement tasks in an industrial environment
  • Select a suitable measuring device and associated data interface for a given process variable
  • Evaluate measurement results in the field of process measurement technology
Subject
  • Measurement of state variables: temperature, pressure, level, flow
  • Process analysis technology (in particular optical-spectroscopic process measurement techniques)
  • Field buses and industrial networks
  • New developments in process measurement technology
Criteria for evaluation Written and/or oral exam
Methods Lecture with blackboard and slides
