Objectives By implementing and analyzing an OFDM-based communication system, students will have an in-depth understanding of this communication systems that was theoretically covered in the lecture.
Subject Implementation of an OFDM-based communication system in Matlab/Python with the following focus:

  • Symbol mapping/demapping
  • Insert/remove guard bands
  • Insert/remove cyclic prefix
  • Equalization
  • Evaluation of the error performance
  • Evaluation of the spectral characteristics
Criteria for evaluation Implementation, report and final discussion
