Objectives |
Teaching of the fundamentals of selected aspects and applications of the Finite-Element Method (FEM)
|
Subject |
- Aspects of modelling, overview of basic and advanced concepts, interpretation and validation of results.
- Effective treatment of non-linear problems by finite-element approaches.
- Geometry adjustment and meshing of complex parts and assemblies (imported from CAD).
- Contact and friction, roughness transfer.
- Forming technology (rolling, forging, deep-drawing, roller levelling).
- Modal analysis of complex parts and assemblies (machine-dynamics, torsional vibrations).
- Thermodynamics of irreversible processes (heat transfer, parameter-identification problems).
