Detailed information |
Original study plan |
Master's programme Mechatronics 2022W |
Objectives |
This course gives an introduction to the design and control of vehicle drivelines, a complex mechatronic field. The course starts by deriving the main requirements on driveline characteristics from the vehicle performance requirements as typically experienced by the driver or required by law and shows how to fulfill them by system and control layout and operation. The course concentrates on modeling and control of longitudinal dynamics.
|
Subject |
• User and legal requirements for the vehicle layout
• Fundamentals of longitudinal dynamics, partly of lateral dynamics • Fulfillment of user functional requirements (driving and braking) • Power sources (e.g. electric motors, internal combustion engine) • Fulfillment of secondary objectives (consumption, environmental impact, thermal management, durability) • Electrical functions in the vehicle • Control systems in the vehicle (optimum operation of the vehicle) • Vehicle dynamics control • Achievable performance with ICE (unregulated / regulated)
