Detailed information |
Original study plan |
Bachelor's programme Electronics and Information Technology 2022W |
Objectives |
Students know and understand the basic principles of modern electronic communication systems, and are able to derive simple models of these systems to calculate and interpret key figures such as signal-to-noise ratio, bit error rate or spectral efficiency. Students know and understand the basic concepts of information theory, analog and linear digital modulation methods, the associated receiver concepts and communication networks and are able to apply these to simple examples.
The level of mathematical modeling and analysis of the mentioned topics is similar to that in the textbook P. A. Höher, Grundlagen der digitalen Informationsübertragung, Springer Vieweg, Wiesbaden, 2. Auflage, 2013
