Objectives Lecture on physical fundamentals of mechatronics with selected topics from the fields of optics, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics and solid state physics as wave optics, interference, polarization, kinetic theory of gases, quantum phenomena, Schrödinger equation, Bloch theorem - Band structure, insulator - metal - semiconductor conductivity.
