Master's programme Artificial Intelligence 2019W
Objectives
Whereas Psychology exlores human perception, experience and behavior, Robopsychology investigates how different people perceive different types of AI agents and robots, how interactions with machine intelligence are experienced, and how humans behave within these interactions. This course relates fundamental (social)psychological theories to current developments in AI and looks at the interplay of machine-specific factors (e.g. communication design of a chatbot), user-specific factors (e.g. personality traits) and situational factors (e.g. area of usage) in regard to AI acceptance and anxiety, subjective safety, trust and perception of control. The study and discussion of empirical research papers forms an important part of this course.
