Objectives Students have the skills to research technical, legal, and economic issues concerning mechanical engineering companies and their products from public information and to present them in presentations. The students know the value of their technical education and the expectations that the industry will have of them in the future. They know the basic aspects according to which successful products are developed and understand the difference between university research and industrial development and their interaction.
Subject In an introduction lecture, an industrial company is presented, which isto be visited during the semester. Before the excursion, the students must prepare a brief presentation of the company's fields of activities with a particular focus on individual mechanical engineering topics. In addition, a written report of the excursion has to be prepared, in which connections to the future mechanical engineering studiesshould also be discussed. The work must be presentedto the colleagues.
