Objectives This course provides insights into wireless transmission systems from a theoretical and practical perspective.

The course is a combined course (KV) and consists of a lecture and practical part. In the lecture part, various practical aspects of wireless transmission systems (e.g., synchronization and RF impairments) as well as the basics of WLAN systems are discussed. In the practical part, WLAN signals are generated and analyzed using Software Defined Radio (https://tinyurl.com/sdrusrp) and the eLITe-Board (https://tinyurl.com/eliteboard).

Students know and understand the theory required to implement advanced wireless communication systems (RF impairments, Synchronization, OFDM, WLAN). They are able to apply this knowledge to implement a subset of a standard compliant WLAN transceiver.
