DC-machines:

  • Machine types and constructions
  • Winding schemes
  • Magnetic fields inside the machine
  • Basics for calculations
  • Operating performance
  • Machine characteristics and applications

Rotating field machines:

  • General introduction (three phase system, winding factors, etc.)
  • Winding schemes
  • Derivation of the basic equations corresponding to rotating field machines in general
  • Calculations of induction and synchronous machines
  • Operating performance and particularities of induction and synchronous machines
  • Machine characteristics and applications
