| Objectives |
The course focuses on core and base concepts in computer supported controlling. This includes the introduction of controlling software and business intelligence in particular. ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning) as data sources for controllers will be introduced in theory and practice. Controlling software (professional planner) and case studies will aid in the illustration of the correlation between integrated budgeting and tools used for operative controlling.

Conceptual content: the information supply process, illustration of the selection process and introduction to standard software for controlling - the controller as an initiator of changes in information technology within an organization, use of "business intelligence", OLAP and data warehouse for controlling, overview of ERP systems such as SAP ERP; special focus on controlling relevant areas
Practical content: learning to work independently with professional planning systems, controlling using Excel
