Objectives
(*)The course has been designed to provide students with an understanding of the interrelations and dependencies within economic and social development as well as how to evaluate scientific reports. Students will also learn theoretical and analytical concepts applied in the socio-economic debate.
Subject
(*)This course will provide students with an opportunity to gain insight into the theoretical discourse found in economic and social development and how the social policies may help tackle poverty and social divisions found in society. Secondly, the course provides an understanding of substantial similarities and differences between various welfare state regimes and how they narrow the caps of income differentials and avoid poverty.
