Objectives |
This course encourages students to critically reflect on their internship, the specific tasks they have undertaken and the role of their hosting organisations in matters of the production of social welfare.

Subject |
Before their practical training students are provided with guidelines for seeking a suitable internship and receive support in their decision and application. After their practical training students are required to write an internship report. Besides a short description of the hosting organisation and the tasks the students have undertaken, the internship report evaluates the experience acquired during the internship emphasizing the outcomes for their academic training. It further assesses the implementation of the social policy function of the organisations based on relevant scientific literature and puts it in the context of the specific policy field. The internship report must meet the standards of academic writing.

Confirmation of the internship (80%), internship report (20%).
