Objectives |
The students have knowledge of the challenges evolving from digitalization, impacting on the individual and society. They are able to identify ways to tackle these challenges from a companies’ point of view. They can discuss the main concepts related to these issues, in particular evolving from corporate responsibility and sustainability. The students are familiar with the terms and underlying concepts to fulfill requirements of sustainable supply chain management. They have knowledge of foundations related to ethical questions in the context of digitalization.

- Impacts on the individual and society
- Technostress and technology addiction
- Digital Corporate Responsibility, Digital Citizenship
- Right to Privacy, Human Rights in a Digital Age
- Sustainability, CSR and Producer Responsibility
- Triple Bottom Line
- Sustainable Supply Chain Management
- Ethical and cultural aspects of IT, digitalization and new technologies (in particular AI and robotics)
- Digital divide and ICT4D

Exam (individual) and group work (homework and oral presentation)

Methods |
Integrated in-class lecture and flipped classroom parts (lecture videos to be prepared), active participation and discussion is vital. Practical examples (cases) to further reflect on the material.
