Objectives Based on the fundamentals of magnetism magnetic phenomena in reduced dimension will be learned as well as the physical principles of magneto-transport effects, novel magnetic materials and their current applications.
Subject magnetism in reduced dimensions, superparamagnetism, spin diffusion length, magneto-transport phenomena, GMR/TMR effect, spin-LED, spin transistor, magntis RAM, (dilute) magnetic semiconductors, long-range magnetic interactions, half metals, determination of spin-polarization
