Objectives Practice of mathematical methods, in particular those which are needed in the lecture courses ,,Basics of Physics" and ,,Theoretical Physics".
Subject Recapitulation and extension of vector algebra, analysis and calculus, tensor calculus, curvilinear coordinates, ordinary differential equations, functions of complex variables, Fourier transformations, Dirac delta distribution.
Criteria for evaluation (1) Number of successfully solved problems, (2) quality of presentations/commitment during the excercise course, (3) eventually additional excercise exams.
Methods Independent solution of problems (alone or in small groups), presentation of solutions during the excercise course.
Language German
Study material will be specified during the lecture/excercise course.
