Objectives |
Software-intensive systems combine software and hardware. The goal of this course is to understand the challenges, technologies, and best practices for the design and construction of software-intensive systems.
Students
- understand how the engineering of software-intensive systems differs from the engineering of a "pure" software system
- understand the principles of life cycle of systems engineering, top-down and bottom-up engineering, and the integration of components
- gain practical experiences by working on a challenge problem in a (small) team
- gain familiarity with advanced modeling techniques such as simulation or machine-to-machine communication
|
Subject |
The software-intensive systems course covers systems engineering life cycle activities (requirements, analysis+design). It also covers a practical example to be worked on as a team.
