Ziele
(*)The elective subject “applied mechanics and mechanical engineering” provides additional competences in the fields of computer aided design of products, comprehensive experimental and numerical methods of the fluid and solid mechanics for product design and dimensioning and polymer processing. Special attention is given to support and complete the courses in the core compulsory subject.

(*)The elective subject "Applied Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering" contains the following sub-groups of courses:
• Computer aided design (CAD) • Design of light weight structures • Comprehensive methods of experimental mechanics and component testing • Numerical and analytical methods of the mechanics • Structural integrity and failure analysis of polymeric structures • Polymer processing
