Detailed information
Original study plan Master's programme Polymer Technologies and Science (PTS) 2016W
Objectives Application of knowledge about rheometry in plastics technology, understanding of the relationships between rheometry and processing technology, independent measurements of the rotational and high pressure capillary rheometer and data interpretation.
Subject - Assignment of rheological parameters to various processing methods and process parameters,
- Detection of physical changes in the manufacturing process and the product,
- Detection of chemical changes in the manufacturing process and the product,
- Combination of rheometry and other physical and chemical measurement methods for troubleshooting in extrusion,
- Development of measuring instruments and data processing in the rheometry,
- Measurements on rotational rheometer and data interpretation,
- Measurements on high pressure capillary rheometer and data interpretation.
Criteria for evaluation step 1: evaluation of measurement reports (at least two reports), if positive, then step 2: written or oral exam, depending on the number of students.
Methods VL-lectures with PPT; occasionally practical demonstration examples, independent participation of students on measurements.
