| Objectives |
This compact, application-oriented course provides an introduction to the numerical stress analysis and strength assessment of lightweight structures using the Finite Element Method.
|
| Subject |
Introduction to the theoretical formulation of the Finite Element (FE) method; FE element types; FE analysis types (static and dynamic analysis, Eigen-value analysis, linear and nonlinear analysis); important topics of FE analysis (convergence, element selection, stress singularities); introduction to the operation of a FE program (Abaqus); calculation of various example problems.
