Objectives Hands-on AI II is the immediate continuation of Hands-on AI I (having completed Hands-on AI I is thus highly recommended). The focus of this course is mainly on applied Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning methods in, e.g., Bioinformatics and Natural Language Processing. The goal of this course is put on practical applications and getting an overview of newest AI approaches. All of the shown techniques will be taught in much greater detail later in the studies.
Subject
  • Vanishing gradient problem, visualization and remedies
  • Testing and playing around with various different Deep Learning architectures, e.g., Convolutional Neural Networks, Recurrent Neural Networks, LSTM, etc.
  • Interacting with new fields such as Bioinformatics and Natural Language Processing
  • Looking at simple Reinforcement Learning problems
