Objectives Learn to solve practical problems on various aspects of low dimensional systems.
Subject Electronic Density of States in low dimensional systems; wave functions and energy eigenvalues in quantum wells (2D), quantum wires (1D) and quantum dots (0D). Electronic transport and optical properties.
Criteria for evaluation Oral and written. Solution of excercises and participation in the class.
Methods Solution of problems on topics presented in the lecture "Physics of Low-Dimensional Systems". Can also include practical laboratory excercises and experiments.
Language German or English
Study material Script of the lecture "Physics of Low-Dimensional Systems". Additional references will be given during the course.
