Original study plan |
Master's programme Computer Science 2021S |
Objectives |
Students are able to apply the techniques and concepts related to interaction in pervasive computing environments in selected case studies.
Students will improve their skills in project-oriented design and development work in teams.
|
Subject |
Keyboard, mouse and monitor have been the common I/O devices following the personal computing paradigm and strongly influencing our habits on how to interact with computers. Technological advances (visual computing, sensors, speech analysis and synthesis, ambient displays, etc.) are opening up a plethora of new interaction possibilities which are to be presented and discussed in this lecture in a systematic way. Basic interaction principles will be presented along with their possible implementation in hard- and software.
Students will work in small project teams on the prototypical implementation
of specific interfaces in pervasive computing environments.
