Objectives The IK course "Empirical Economics" supplements the course "KS Empirical Economics". The KS course focuses on econometric concepts and theory which will be discussed in class and the IK focuses on empirical applications.

Criteria for evaluation In essence, students enrolled in the IK course are required to complete "problem sets". At least 50% of available exercises must be solved to be eligible for exam participation. The exam will be on the computer.
Methods The first class meetings will introduce students to the statistical/software packet Strata. In the following lectures, problem sets will be discussed in tutorials.
