Objectives This course will provide the student with a solid overview of key concepts in international finance. The course objectives are to:

  • understand key international finance concepts including foreign exchange, multi-national firm considerations, cross-border financing and investing.
  • be able to understand and explain these concepts and perform related calculations and analyses correctly.
  • enhance both oral and written communication skills.

Detailed learning objectives will be posted during the course to assist students with a clear understanding of knowledge and skills required to successfully complete the course.

Students with unexcused absences from more than 2 (two) class sessions will not be permitted to write the final examination.

Methods The course will use a combination of readings and cases to develop and apply course concepts. Extensive preparation and understanding of the pre-assigned cases is expected.
