Objectives During the course “Interpersonal skills, gender & diversity” students will experience, understand and reflect dynamics of interpersonal processes and develop theory-based competencies in self-management.

Upon successful completion of the course they will be able to combine insights from personal experiences with theoretical background on diversity management, intercultural skills, communication theories and conflict management.

Subject In specific the course addresses the following topics:

  • Competencies in self-management
  • Diversity management
  • Communication skills and managing conflict
  • Instruments and skills to handle social processes in projects
Criteria for evaluation Pre-Readings (20%) Attendance & Participation (50%); Post-Module Reflection (30%)
Methods Several case studies and management simulations including group discussions facilitate experience-based learning and allow for combining insights from personal experiences with theoretical background of diversity, intercultural communication and conflict management.
