Detailed information
Original study plan Bachelor's programme Mechatronics 2020W
Objectives Lab course focusing on topics introduced during fundamental electronics lectures. In addition to a hands-on approach in lieu of base knowledge acquired during in previous lectures, students will learn to design electronic circuits which include discrete components. Furthermore, circuits will be simulated, built, and their behaviour is measured and compared to theoretical predictions.
Subject The topics cover microphone, difference, and audio-amplifiers, as well as oscillators, current sources and voltage regulators. The properties of the circuits are calculated by the methods learned in the lecture and are compared to simulation results and measured data obtained from the self-produced prototype. An additional focus is placed on the reduction of spurious effects such as unwanted oscillations, and electromagnetic interference.
Criteria for evaluation In-class participation and laboratory reports
Methods Design, simulation, measurements, comparison
