Objectives This course aims to teach how to find appropriate sensor principles for a given measurement task, to evaluate and understand their application range and limits, to plan, conduct and evaluate a measurement.

  • Overview of sensor effects (galvano-magnetic effect, piezo-resistive-, piezo-electric-, pyro-electric effect, Seebeck-effect, electro-optic effect, etc.
  • Pressure measurement

Criteria for evaluation written and oral exam
Exam: it is required to acquire more than 50% in the written exam in order to be admitted to the oral part
