| Objectives |
To present the progress of the doctoral thesis to the Dissertation Committee in the fifth semester.

| Subject |
Oral and written presentation to the Dissertation Committee in the fifth semester.
The candidate has to forward the presentation and a written assessment by the Dissertation Committee to the Dean of Studies at the Medical Faculty of the JKU.

| Criteria for evaluation |
written report
Preparation of an interim report and presentation of the project progress before the Dissertation Committee. The meeting shall be convened by the doctoral candidate.
The interim report is only valid with the detailed comments and signatures of all members of the dissertation committee.
For a positive completion, the interim report has to be submitted to the Dean of Studies of the Medical Faculty.
The positive result shall be described as "successful participation", the negative result shall be described as "unsuccessful participation".
