Objectives Basic techniques of the energy-dispersive spectrometry of ionizing Radiation; Introduction to medical imaging (computer tomography).
Subject Performing selected experiments connected to the measurement of ionizing radiation and their medical application (measurement of alpha-particles with a semiconductor detector, measurement of gamma radiation with a scintillation detector, measurement of time-correlated events, measurement of low-intensity activity, computer tomography).
Criteria for evaluation Preparation for the practial exercises, quality of the documentation of the experiments.
Methods Performance of practical exercises in groups of two students.
