Objectives The objective is to gain a fundamental understanding for computer added controller design and to gain the ability to apply this approaches to complex dynamic systems based on sound mathematical ideas.
Subject mathematical basics for the modelling of dynamic systems, modeltypes. Introduction to optimal design methods based on norms. Introduction to linear and quadratic programming as well as LMIs. H2 and H infinity optimal design with LMIs. l1 and l infinity optimal design by means of optimal programming. Trajectory planning and MPC with the help of linear, quadratic or non linear program.
