Objectives Introduction to the theory of continous-time dynamical systems, basic knowledege of analysis and design methods for the class of linear and time invariant systems. Deepened understanding of general, abstract structures of dynamical systems by means of linear algebra.
  • Dynamic systems, state space, systems of ordinary differential equations
  • Linear time invariant systems, coordinate transformation, eigen solutions, eigen spaces
  • Stability of the equilibrium, basic Liapunov theory, Liapunov equation
  • Reachability, linear state feedback for single input system, eigenvalue placement, Ackermann's formula, optimal state feedback control for multi input systems
  • Observability, full and reduced observers, Kalman Bucy filter, separation theorem
  • Linearization and setup value control
