Objectives Students know the economic and business contexts and peculiarities of the digital economy. Digital economics refers to the field of economics characterized by the intensive use of digital computer technology as well as the associated (network) connections of databases, processes, devices, machines, people and companies. Students are familiar with the business models, products and services of the digital economy as well as the resulting consequences for companies, consumers and competition regulators.
Subject Digital business-models and -strategies, management tasks in the software and computer industry, online markets, e-commerce, auction markets, market intermediation, network effects, digital pricing strategies, regulatory requirements in the digital economy.
