Detailed information
Original study plan Master's programme Artificial Intelligence 2019W
Objectives Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the way that the private sector and also the public sector are organized and operating. Self-learning algorithms, autonomous robots, and other technologies are and will increasingly be carrying out tasks that once were exclusively performed by humans. This creates new challenges and opportunities for the legal system and also the legal profession. This course will explore the impact of, and the challenges to, the legal system and the legal profession by AI, robotics, neural engineering and, more generally, digitalization of business models. The course will cover the areas of civil, public, labor and tax law, and will specifically include smart contracts, product liability, liability for robotics, AI as a “legal entity”, data protection, product and plant safety, impact on labor relations, tax compliance and administration and the future of taxation in light of digitalization/automatization.
