Objectives Natural Language Processing (NLP) is study of how to process human language using computers. This course will be focused on statistical NLP approaches, where machine learning techniques are applied to this problem. Upon completing, students will be able to recognize NLP problems and propose and weigh various approaches.
  • Techniques like deep learning methods for sequence analysis, HMMs.
  • Applications like: Sentiment Analysis, Summarization, Question answering, Language Modelling, dialog systems, Word Embeddings, Knowledge representation, machine translation, text generation.
