Education on special topics of important families of biologically systems and their interactions, which comprise xenobiochemistry, glycane-biochemistry, toxicology, immunology and biopharmacy.

Courses and lectures from the interface of biochemistry and cell biology/biotechnology regarding functional features of biologically active molecules in processes of receptor-ligand recognition, cell defence against toxic compounds, molecular mechanisms of immune response as well as introduction to molecular tools of modern bio-therapy.

A total of 25 ECTS from two of the three biological elective subjects must be taken, with a minimum of 10 ECTS for each.
