Objectives Acquiring the competence for methodologically correct execution of research work and planning of scientific experiments. Gaining experience enabling the critical evaluation of experimental scientific results.
Subject The seminar is accompanying the execution of the master thesis experimental work. Topics related to the Master's thesis' field will be discussed and brought into the context of scientific literature. In addition, strategies for experimental planning will be developed. The student presents intermediate results and receives feedback in a discussion with peers and academic supervisors at least once. The final results are presented by the student within the research group before submission of the Master's thesis.
Criteria for evaluation The evaluation occurs jointly with the Master's Thesis. Correct execution of the experimental work, the quality of the presentations of the results of the Master's Thesis and of the presentations in the seminar talks serve as criteria.
