Objectives Students have the required methodological knowledge for the initiation, implementation, monitoring and management of projects for the implementation of distributed, interactive IT systems. They are familiar with the state-of-the art in Communications Engineering and its underlying theories. In particular, they know organizational, technical and human resource requirements when designing interactive, distributed IT systems. They know the goals and possibilities of process-, data-and function-oriented and communication-related modeling and utilize them according to each phase of development.
Subject Fundamentals in technical networking, protocols and services; Fundamentals of interactive systems; downsizing / upsizing / rightsizing; case studies for networking and latest technology applications; inter-process communication, including transaction management, architectural models, specification and modeling of distributed systems, interaction styles; integrative design and development tools.
